Corey Hastings

Born and raised dancing in the South Bay, Corey Hastings is thrilled to be a part of the Dance 1 family teaching tap. Corey began dancing at the ripe age of five and has continued pursuing her passion ever since. She spent over 10 years as a competitive dancer, performing in national competitions throughout the country, and danced in various high school musicals including her Fosse favorites, Chicago and Sweet Charity.

Corey went on to study English Literature and Political Science at the University of Washington, and continued to dance at school and at various studios around Seattle. After graduation, she returned to LA where she jumped at the opportunity to start teaching dance. She is delighted to be a part of many young dancers’ lives, and hopes to inspire them in the way she was first inspired so many years ago.

When she isn’t tapping away with her students, Corey spends her time writing, backpacking around the world, and cooking with too much spice. She hopes to continue dancing for as long as her feet will let her.
