Spotlight Dance Cup

Competition time…

Our Performing Companies, along with Redondo Ballet, headed off to Long Beach for the weekend, to compete in the professional, high quality, student-focussed Spotlight Dance Cup competition. We took multiple genres and entered into a variety of age group categories. The results were outstanding. We couldn’t be more proud of our dedicated and hardworking dancers.

The Results!

Torn – ballet small group…Diamond Award, 1st in category, 4th overall.

Slip and Sliding – Jazz small group…Diamond Award, 1st in category, 2nd overall.

Turning Tables…Diamond Award, 1st in category, 2nd overall.

Legend – open solo…Ruby Award.

Grows Old – Contemporary solo…Diamond Award, exquisitely expressive judges award, 8th overall.

Soundless Sea…Diamond Award, 1st in category, 1st overall!

Dance Down – Out of 57 contenders Dance 1 had 4 dancers in the final 8, with Charlie Sue finishing 4th and Ella 3rd.

Friends Too – Jr Ballet duo..Diamond Award, 1st in category, 1st overall, Beautiful feet judges award!

The World is our Playground – Jr Jazz duo…Ruby Award, 1st in category!

Most Girls – Jr Jazz solo…Ruby Award.

A Doll’s Life – Jr Ballet solo, Ruby Award, 10th overall.

Start of Time – Jr Lyrical duo…Diamond Award, 1st in category!

All Ages Dance Down – Sienna(aged 10) first place!

A Game of Croquet – Jr Ballet solo…Diamond Award, 1st in category, 4th overall.

Beautiful Now – Jr Jazz duo…Ruby Award, 2nd in category.
