Eating Tips for Dancers

 In Ask The Experts

We all know that dancing takes a healthy, strong body. We asked our resident fitness expert, instructor and dancer, Sondi Kroeger Foley, what she eats for fitness, endurance and energy, especially during those long practices at the studio.

Here is what a typical day is like for her:

I make sure I have a protein source at every meal. I start the day with a hard-boiled egg, PB2 (a powdered peanut butter ) and 1/2 of a banana. Mid-morning I have an apple and a handful of almonds every day. My lunch is usually a salad with some lean chicken. Mid afternoon, I have a Greek yogurt sprinkled with a healthy cereal. I find it easier to dance when I eat smaller portions!
