Meghan Geier received her primary training under Salwa Rizkalla at Southland Ballet Academy. She continued her dance education at the Academy of the Performing Arts at Huntington Beach High School and ABT. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Dance from the University of California, Irvine. While attending UCI on a full dance scholarship, she was chosen to represent the University in France at the Conservatoire de Paris.
Meghan’s honors include the Los Angeles Music Center Spotlight Award in Classical Dance and the bronze medal at the Youth America Grand Prix finals in New York City. At the age of 15, she was the youngest American ballerina chosen to compete at the USA International Ballet Competition in Jackson, Mississippi.
Meghan danced professionally with Festival Ballet Theatre and Ballet Pacifica where she had the opportunity to perform numerous classical ballets. She also performed many contemporary pieces including original works by Jodie Gates, David Allan, Edward Liang, and Douglas Becker.
While in high school, Meghan started teaching at Southland Ballet Academy. She is grateful for the opportunity to share the knowledge with the next generation of ballerinas.
