Donna went from studying English at UCLA, and on her way to a law degree, to traveling the world (choreographing and directing shows) and forging a career in the entertainment business. Donna is currently the Co-CEO and Vice President of Production and Programming for 3 Alliance Enterprises, Incorporated. She brings her wealth of experience and expertise, in front of and behind the camera, to all 3 Alliance productions. She is the executive producer, director and writer on 2 of the company’s series that have won multiple awards.
Donna has worked in television and film for 20+ years as an accomplished actress, choreographer and director. She has choreographed numerous music videos and commercials, working with such companies such as Tostitos, KMart, Body Glove, Fila and Mattel, the latter where she choreographed and directed toddlers and little kids. She was even nominated for a Fosse Award for excellence in commercial choreography. She also choreographed for the Los Angeles Laker Girls.
Donna started dancing when she was little because her mom feared she was such a tomboy. She fell in love with ballet and jazz and went on to study dance at UCLA, at the Dupree Dance Academy and with such dance luminaries as Vince Patterson and Claude Thompson. Donna started teaching dance and cheerleader camps her 1st summer after high school.
Donna loves teaching and brings a fun yet structured environment to each of her classes. Young students thrive in Donna’s classes because she seamlessly mixes games with technique and terminology – the kids don’t even realize they’re learning! Her philosophy is to break down the elements of dance so anyone can understand them.
Donna is honored to be the Director of the Performing Company as well as the Director of the Jazz Department. She teaches jazz and contemporary classes. Donna is thrilled to be a part of the Dance 1 family!
